Resources

Below are links to resources and information on homelessness. Among these reports, you will find national and local statistics, explanations of root causes of homelessness, and developments in prevention and support.  These resources are useful in summarizing the facts available, but do not wholly represent the homeless population in our city or country.

In addition, we are committed to anti-racism work. Racism is not a new threat to anyone in the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community. It touches our homeless and housing insecure BIPOC individuals in exponential ways as they are disproportionately represented in the unhoused community. The National Alliance to End Homelessness states, “most minority groups in the United States experience homelessness at higher rates than whites, and therefore make up a disproportionate share of the homeless population… Any effort to end homelessness in the United States must address the range of issues that have resulted from racial inequity. This includes assuring affordable, stable housing for all.*”

Below also find additional resources and information to help shed light on this challenge and promote activity and action towards an end to homelessness and its systemic causes.
